Hand Built Large Forms: Coiled or Slabbed

This workshop is creating opportunity to make large forms that only have kiln size as a restriction.  Through traditional methods of making, we will put emphasis on form and structure based on the principles of design. The forms will then be used as a focus on surface decoration that is primarily concerned with methods of adding pattern or image through use of slip, engobe, resist, scraffito, etc.

The post bisque session will be used for glazing and final decoration, perhaps with mason stains, and oxides and simple glazing.

Please bring your pottery tools, sketchbook or drawing paper and drawing pens or pencils to class.
